Math Challenge
Join Peggy Pepper for a Math Challenge on Fridays!
Can you do 30 computation facts in one minute?
Are you a Math Wiz?
The math challenge will be held on Friday afternoons in the small cafeteria. Students must complete 30 single digit computation facts in one minute. K,1st, and 2nd will be working on addition and subtraction and 3rd, 4th, and 5th will do multipication and division. If the students master both operations, they will receive a certificate and a coupon. They will also be entered in a math challenge drawing.
It is so important to master your basic facts! I challenge you to participate!

Food For Friends
Oct. 8-Nov. 2
Community Outreach and Ford 4th grader Reilly McDurmon are having a food drive called Food For Friends. We will be collecting dried beans and rice for people in parts of Central America hurt by hurricane Felix as well as canned foods and boxed dinners for our local community.
There is a basket in the room for all the goods we collect. The class that donates the most items will have an ice cream party at lunch courtesy of 4th grader Reilly McDurmon who is leading the drive.
Let's see if Mrs. McAuley's class can take the prize! What a great way to reach out and help others!
